Experienced Surgeons

Most of the neurosurgeons are skilled in specific type of neurosurgery, for example, neurovascular surgery or spinal neurosurgery, and perform a number of special procedures.Because of their expertise and experience, these neurosurgeons often perform successful surgeries on patients who are viewed as inoperable or untreatable elsewhere.
Advanced Treatment Options
The advanced stereotactic, or 3-D computer-imaging techniques, are available for our neurosurgeons to plan procedures in advance and with greater precision. For instance, these stereotactic techniques allow our surgeons to precisely locate the area of the brain responsible for seizures. In fact, these models have helped us to identify brain abnormalities which were missed on prior MRI studies. Minimally Invasive Techniques
Our department offers the latest techniques in minimally invasive surgery, which offer shorter recovery time and fewer surgical risks than traditional surgery. Procedures are as follow:
•    Endoscopic techniques are used to treat tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and many other problems. These procedures typically involve operating through a small incision using a thin catheter.
•    Radiosurgery, which uses focused radiation to treat brain and spinal tumors, aneurysms, and blood vessel abnormalities, does not involve any incisions.
•   Implantation of electrical stimulators can help to control Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and other disorders, including vagal nerve stimulation and deep brain stimulation.


Research
The research projects include neurosurgical procedures and embolization of aneurysm in intracranial and cerebral arteriovenous malformations, microsurgery of intracranial neoplasms, radiotherapy for severe traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and brain protection unit with sub-low temperature etc.
